Wellspring First Steps
Wellspring First Steps is exactly what it implies. It is the first and foundational step to introduce you to the basics of living life as a Christian! If you have decided to follow Christ or are simply contemplating doing so and want to know more, this path is for you.
These courses are designed to give you a foundational understanding of the following:
- What is Salvation?
- What is water baptism?
- How do I study the Bible?
- How do I pray?
- How can I heal from past hurts or trauma?
- What does church membership mean?
- Why should I serve in my local church?
- How do I become part of the team?
Why First Steps?
This is the path we established to help others develop an understanding of what it means to be a Christian and how they can follow this path for themselves.
As a Christian church, we believe this is the job we’re called to do. Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
The Son of Man is a phrase which refers to Jesus Christ, and by following His example, we take up the role he gave His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, which says, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
